Annual Festival of Trees the Perfect Way to Gear Up for the Holiday Season

Make sure to clear your calendar for the weekend of November 18-20!

The Junior League of Champaign-Urbana is delighted to announce the annual Festival of Trees weekend at the Hilton Garden Inn from Friday, November 18th through Sunday, November 20th. Attending Festival of Trees is a great way to gear up for the holiday season and support the local community.



Fathers and daughters kick-off the weekend on Friday, November 18, with our annual Daddy Daughter Dance! This fun Candyland themed event features two separate dances from 5:30-7 p.m. for those with early bedtimes and 7:30-9 p.m. for the older girls. Attendees can also have fun with a photo booth, hair chalk station, face painting, and raffles. Dance tickets should be purchased in advance on our website as they typically sell-out quickly! A photographer from Illini Studio will be in attendance as well, so make sure to pre-order your photo session when purchasing dance tickets.


Our Brunch with Santa and Mrs. Claus will be held on Saturday morning from 10-11:30 a.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn. This event is for the whole family and features a story time and a chance to meet the featured hosts while enjoying your meal. Tickets are $15 per person (free for children 3 and younger) and are available in advance for purchase on our website. A limited supply of tickets will be available at the door.


Public hours to view the beautiful trees, wreaths, and holiday décor will be on Saturday, November 19 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday, November 20, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Various sponsors have designed themed trees, wreaths, and gift baskets for those to admire. These items are then raffled or auctioned off during the event. Featured items to be raffled or auctioned during the weekend include a signed John Lackey baseball from the Chicago Cubs, $100 Ippatsu Salon product and hair cut (Saturday evening only from 6-8 p.m.), a Lego themed tree, and a Broadway themed tree.

Admission prices are $5 for adults and children over age 13, $3 for seniors over age 65 and children 4-12, and free for children age 3 and younger.

Proceeds from these events support Junior League’s community outreach projects such as Junior League Bright Starts, a pre-school at night program held at Urbana Early Childhood School; Kids in the Kitchen, a partnership with Don Moyer Boys and Girls Club to encourage healthy eating and exercise to at-risk youth; as well as high school scholarships and community grants.
