Junior League Schedules Advocacy Training & Personal Development Conference for Women of Champaign-Urbana

The Junior League of Champaign-Urbana is getting ready to kick off its annual Advocacy Training and Personal Development Conference (also known as Training Boot Camp) on January 28, 2017, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Champaign Public Library. The women’s conference is aimed at improving mind, body and community advocacy efforts. Tickets are available online for $20 to the general public and $15 for JLCU members. JLCU Announces Trivia Night in January

trivia-nightCure those winter blues with the Junior League of Champaign-Urbana’s new trivia night, coming to you January 26, 2017, at 7 p.m. at The City Center (505 S. Chestnut St. in Champaign). Tickets to play trivia are available for $10 online at before January 24, 2017, or for $15 at the door. Players are allowed to form teams of up to four people. JLCU Project Update: Kids in the Kitchen

Every month, Junior League of Champaign-Urbana members visit the Don Moyer Boys and Girls Club to teach healthy eating and cooking skills to kids in our community. This project, Kids in the Kitchen (KITK), is one of the many exciting ways that JLCU is supporting families in our area. Since the start of the Junior League year in September, KITK has held four events, each on the first Thursday of the month. The children spend time learning a new recipe and nutrition, and then participate in a fun physical activity, usually with special guests. Continue reading JLCU Project Update: Kids in the Kitchen
